BROWN COUNTY - While some people were out shoveling, others spent Friday afternoon making the most of the snow.
Area children pulled on their winter boots and snowpants and sled down Fireman's Hill in Green Bay.
A few miles north, in Suamico, some people grabbed their skis instead of sleds.
Friday was the fourth day the Reforestation Camp in Suamico has been open.
Those out and about say they were excited to partake in the winter activities.
"Just taking the kids out sledding today. Didn't get a whole heck of a lot of snow this year, so it's nice to take advantage of it at least once," said Jared Saindon of Green Bay.
Marc Anderson of De Pere added, "I was ready to head up north this weekend and this is a surprise that we got this much snow; really happy to be out here."
So far this season, Green Bay has seen only 19.3 inches of snow.
That's nearly 15 inches below normal for this time.
