WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (AP) - Two giraffes were killed during a fire at a Wisconsin Dells wildlife park.
According to Wisconsin Dells police, someone called 911 at about 6 p.m. Sunday to report the fire at the Timbavati Wildlife Park.
The fire department arrived to find the giraffe enclosure fully engulfed. Two 4-year-old male giraffes were killed.
Police say they are investigating the cause and have no reason to believe the fire is suspicious.
According to the park's site, it features exotic animals, rides and other attractions. It also allows visitors to feed the giraffes.
It was closed for the season.
