MILWAUKEE (AP) - A husband and wife who met during freshman orientation at Marquette University more than 35 years ago have pledged $1 million to its dental school.
Jeff Moos graduated from the dental school in 1983. His wife, Beth, got her undergraduate degree in physical therapy in 1979. They met in 1975.
Two sons have followed in their footsteps. One is in his third year at the dental school, and another will start there this fall.
Jeff Moos says the gift shows how important his Marquette education was in giving him an opportunity. He says he's thrilled that the couple's children will benefit from the same influences he and his wife had when they were in school.
To recognize the gift, Marquette officials will name a clinic in the couple's honor.
