MILWAUKEE - Tensions ran high after Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett's concession speech Tuesday night in Milwaukee.
A woman, who is said to be a Barrett supporter, slapped him while he was shaking hands in the crowd.
She asked the mayor why he conceded before his city finished voting.
Barrett appeared to take it all in stride. He continued thanking supporters, as campaign workers ushered the woman away from the mayor.
Barrett said Wednesday he doesn't have any hard feelings about the incident.
"She was frustrated. I think she thought people were still voting. My understanding was that the voting had been completed. I checked on that to make sure," said Barrett. "I understand people are frustrated a lot of emotion has gone through this on both sides."
Barrett says right now he wouldn't say "yes" or "no" to possibly running for governor again in the future.
