CAMPBELLSPORT - Harry Theisen owns the farm field where the SUV carrying nine Campbellsport High School girls crashed. He and his wife woke up early Saturday morning to red and blue lights flashing outside their home.
They watched as first responders rushed into the field to help the victims.
Theisen says he knows several of the families involved.
"That is one thing we thought, is if we would have heard the crash, we maybe could have gone up and comforted them. Obviously there's not a lot we could have done, but we maybe could have comforted a few of the girls until the first responders got there," he said.
Theisen says people are still stopping at the crash site days later.
