MILWAUKEE (AP) - Milwaukee County sheriff's officials closed a portion of Interstate 94 following a fiery rollover crash which injured a driver who thought her child was missing.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. The driver was injured and told deputies she couldn't find her child who traveling with her. Sheriff's spokeswoman Fran McLaughlin tells WTMJ radio deputies closed the freeway and searched for the child in the dark.
McLaughlin says the mother was injured and confused. The child was actually with a grandmother.
The driver was taken to Froedtert Hospital. The interstate was reopened about an hour later.
