WASHINGTON COUNTY - An Appleton woman has died after she got out of her vehicle following a crash and was struck by another vehicle.
The crash took place Friday afternoon on a slippery stretch of Highway 41 near the village of Richland in Washington County.
Authorities have identified the woman as 51-year-old Cheryl Mahloch.
Mahloch was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.
Officials say Mahloch was struck by another car whose driver had lost control on the snow covered road.
Mahloch was positioned near the rear of her vehicle when the other car slid into her.
The driver of the other car, a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
