WOOD COUNTY - During the winter months, bears go into hibernation.
But one bear in northern Wisconsin, chose an unusual place to slumber.
Residents in Wood County found a black bear hibernating in a drain tunnel.
Wildlife officials say black bears normally hibernate for about four months out of the year.
They say man-made areas, like the drain, are not uncommon spots for bears to pick.
Officials say black bears are fairly submissive, so they don't think the bear serves as a concern to the public.
