COLUMBUS, Wis. (AP) - A Columbus nursing home employee is accused of abusing residents, including placing a pillow over the face of a resident with severe dementia.
40-year-old Lori Nussbaum of Beaver Dam was arrested by Columbus police Tuesday.
She could make her initial court appearance on Thursday.
Police say administrators at the Columbus Nursing and Rehab
Center learned the employee was cutting off oxygen to sleeping
residents by pinching their noses closed. Investigators say the
employee did this numerous times and used a pillow to quiet a
dementia resident a number of times.
The Capital Times says the woman no longer works at the home.
