MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Vince Megna has raised no money over the first five weeks of the year in the race where one candidate will be eliminated in a primary election next week.
The Milwaukee attorney reported Monday that he had about $5,300 cash on hand as of Feb. 4.
Megna faces incumbent Supreme Court Justice Pat Roggensack and Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone in the Feb. 19 primary. The two highest vote-getters will advance to the April 2 election.
Roggensack and Fallone had yet to report their latest fundraising activity by midday Monday.
Megna says he is not trying to raise money and has told potential donors to hold off until after the primary. Megna says there's no point in people donating now.
