MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin residents can say no to telemarketing calls and text messages by adding their phone numbers to the state's no-call list.
The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says the list would take effect April 1, but the deadline to register is Thursday.
The department updates the list four times each year, and people who are on it have to renew every two years.
The list doesn't apply to political calls, calls from non-profits and calls made with a person's permission or at their request.
