CEDARBURG, Wis. (AP) - Rescue crews have recovered the body of a missing man from Cedar Creek in Cedarburg.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department began searching the creek after a resident called about 9 a.m. to report seeing a hat in the stream.
Late Friday, the department reported that the body is that of 24-year-old Robert Steinbrecker. He was last since running on the ice on the creek Dec. 27.
Steinbrecker is originally from Green Bay.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Steinbrecker was wearing a green-and-gold Green Bay Packers hat and a heavy, dark green parka, blue T-shirt, brown pants and black tennis shoes when he was last seen. The sheriff's department says the hat recovered matches the description of the one Steinbrecker was wearing.
