MILWAUKEE (AP) - Gov. Scott Walker says there are no perfect solutions to preventing a repeat of last week's mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school.
During an interview with Charlie Sykes on WTMJ radio Tuesday, Walker says it will take several weeks to get a true answer on what led to the killings at Sandy Hook Elementary, where a 20-year-old gunman killed 20 children and six adults before taking his own life.
Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry supports allowing teachers and administrators to carry concealed handguns. But, Walker says any politician that provides a simple answer at this point is jumping to conclusions.
The governor says early intervention for those with mental health issues and access to community-based care are matters that need to be addressed.
