MADISON (AP) - Gov. Scott Walker and the head of the statewide teachers union are at it again.
Walker on Thursday sent a letter to Wisconsin Education Association Council President Mary Bell asking that data from past school surveys be posted on the group's website.
Walker says WEAC has refused to provide his office with details about why the past surveys aren't on the site.
Bell responded by calling Walker's request a political ploy designed to hide the fact that schools are hurting under $1.6 billion in cuts.
Walker contends that the past results compared with the most recent survey show that schools across the state are better off now than they were before his budget passed. To help offset the cuts, teachers were required to pay more for health insurance and pensions.
