MILWAUKEE (AP) - A group unhappy about federal train funds being shifted from Wisconsin is holding a rally in Milwaukee Monday.
In a news release, Citizen Action of Wisconsin accuses Gov.-Elect Scott Walker of costing Wisconsin 13,000 jobs.
President Barack Obama's administration said it would shift $810 million in federal stimulus dollars meant for a high-speed rail line to other states. Walker opposed the line between Milwaukee and Madison, saying it would be too expensive for the state.
The group says it will demand Walker include Milwaukee job creation in the upcoming special legislative session.
Talgo Inc. plans to shut down its Milwaukee train manufacturing operations in 2012 because of the news. Citizen Action says there's also a town hall meeting Thursday in the neighborhood affected by the plant closing.
