MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (AP) - Police detectives, cadaver dogs and back hoe operators are searching a Menomonee Falls landfill for the remains of a homicide victim.
A criminal complaint says some of the five men charged with killing 22-year-old Evon Young say the victim's body was dumped in a trash bin outside an apartment building and set on fire. Trash collectors took the bin's contents to the landfill.
With the help of the landfill operator, Waste Management, the search has been narrowed to a 200 by 200 square foot area.
Young was last seen nearly a month ago. Young's mother, Annette Perry, tells WISN-TV she just wants her child back and wakes up every day crying. Young's sister, Harmonee Fletcher, says it seems like a dream and that she's still waiting to wake up.
