MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A campaign-finance report says Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch has raised $540,000 ahead of the June recall election.
Her campaign said Monday she has over $424,000 on hand.
Kleefisch and Gov. Scott Walker are facing recall elections sparked by Walker's law that eliminated collective-bargaining rights for most public employees.
Two Democrats are competing for the right to face Kleefisch in the June 5 election. They are Madison firefighter Mahlon Mitchell and Milwaukee private detective Ira Robins. Fake Democrat Isaac Weix is also on the ballot.
They have until midnight Monday to submit their own campaign-finance reports.
The state Democratic Party has endorsed Mitchell. In response, Robins wrote a letter of complaint to the Democratic National Committee saying he wasn't given the chance to present his case before the endorsement decision.
