MADISON, Wis. (AP) - University of Wisconsin-Madison police have taken three people into custody after receiving numerous reports of gunfire near a campus housing complex.
Investigators say they found shell casings in the University Houses area after a number of calls came in around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday about the gunshots.
University officials sent out an emergency notification message via email, phones and texts to alert people about a possible armed suspect at the multi-building housing complex.
