MILWAUKEE (AP) - President Barack Obama plans to discuss the economy at Laborfest on Monday in Milwaukee.

The White House announced the visit on Monday but released no other details.

The visit will mark the third time the president has been in Wisconsin in just over two months. He hosted a town hall meeting centered on the economy during a stop in Racine back in June.

On Aug. 16 the president also was in Milwaukee where he hosted a fundraiser for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Barrett and toured a local business.

Obama's visit comes as Democrats in Wisconsin try to keep U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold in office as well as maintain control of the governor's office and the Legislature.

The annual Laborfest event is organized by the Milwaukee Area Labor Council to celebrate organized labor
