MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin's chief economic development agency is searching for businesses in the state interested in going on a trade mission to South Africa.
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. is participating in the trade mission organized by the Council of Great Lakes Governors taking place March 6 through March 15. The semi-private agency says the goal is to assist small to medium sized companies from the Great Lakes region export products and services to South Africa.
The trade mission will include meetings in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
Some of the business sectors targeted in the trade mission include automotive parts, agricultural, medical, mining and construction equipment, and power generation and supply.
Wisconsin exported $226 million to South Africa in 2011.
Businesses interested in attending are encouraged to contact WEDC.
