MADISON, Wis. (AP) - The state's quasi-private economic development agency has narrowed the field in its search for a CEO.
A search committee for the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., has whittled a pool of 100 applicants to three finalists - Ralph Howard of Random Lake, Michael Jenkins of Cedarburg and Jason Jensen of Madison.
Gov. Scott Walker named a CEO search committee in September to work on replacing Paul Jadin.
The WEDC has been beset with problems ever since its creation last year. A pair of independent reviews of WEDC's operations identified a number of problems and issued a series of recommendations, including upgrading computer software and hiring more people to better track loans and other financial transactions.
Walker replaced the state Department of Commerce with the WEDC which spearheads Wisconsin's job creation efforts.
