It's not like most museums you've been to. There are exhibits, but no "Do Not Touch" signs.
The Wisconsin Museum of Broadcasting is not in a building. It's right on your computer.
The online museum features a look back at some of the memorable moments in state broadcasting. You can look back at historical political debates, see how television changed in its first half-century, see some familiar faces in the Hall of Fame, or get to know some of the other people who have impacted broadcasting in the state.
WBA leaders say going online was easier than creating the museum in a building.
"Online is the modern way of communicating," WBA president John Laabs said. "Online also allowed us, building a museum, to get up and on the air more quickly and less expensively, with an infinitely expandable facility."
Still, the WBA hopes to build a physical museum sometime in the next few years.
