According to Hitwise, a company that monitors Internet traffic, U.S. searches for the term "H1N1" are up 250 percent since Aug. 1 – an indication many people have questions about the "swine" flu.

Here's how to find some answers

For a national perspective on the flu, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has set up the Flu.gov Web site. It has information about the H1N1, as well as the seasonal flu: How to keep it from spreading, how to know if you have it and what to do once you have it.

You can listen to podcasts and you can also sign up to get the latest updates on Facebook and Twitter.

Plus, there's state-by-state information. You can even find flu shot clinics in your area.

For Wisconsin-based information, check out Wisconsin's Pandemic Flu Resource. You can find out what leaders in our state are doing to fight the flu. Plus, get local information on where the flu is. You can also sign up to get the latest information on Twitter.

To get even more local information, Appleton-based ThedaCare has launched a Web site to help deal with the flu. It has information and advice for parents and patients.

And for the latest news coverage on the flu, head to fox11online.com. Mouse over "News," then click on "Health." You'll find the latest news, plus links to all the information we've mentioned.
