Friends reunite ice fishing

Green Bay - 36 year old Craig Babiarz and 35 year old Brad Schwager have busy schedules as Anesthetist's. The two old friends say they haven't seen each other in about eight years despite living just one-hundred thirty-five miles apart.

"He gave me a call and said hey, you want to go Whitefish fishing? I said sure. He said where? Right here in Green Bay. So I met him out here and we're giving it a whirl."

"I guess he likes to ice fish. This is my first time out this year, but it's a good thing to do together."

Babiarz and Schwager are both experienced fishermen, but the two say they do not ice fish for whitefish very often.

"I guess the object is to just keep the darn thing moving, hope one comes up and nails it. It's a simple little 1/8 of an ounce jig, about six inches off the bottom. "

"Everybody hopes to come out and catch a bunch of fish. But, i think the main thing is coming out here and hanging out with friends."

Ice fishing together gives the old friends time to catch up and get away from daily stress of working as CRNA"S.

"It's nice to get away from the daily grind. Not much to worry about up here except for jigging a rod and catching fish."

And catch they did. The two combined for several whitefish in the first two hours of the day.
