GREEN BAY - It's been an interesting couple of months from the Blizzard, from being up for sale, to getting a new owner, to losing their spot in the new AF1, to hooking up with the IFL.

Tuesdday night, though they don't have any players to coach yet, they introduced their new head coach.

The Blizzard had a get to know you night open to the public at the Resch center to answer some questions about the team.

One question answered: Who is the new head coach?

New owner Jeff Royle introduced Rick Richards, who has extensive indoor football coaching experience, who will coach the team.

There are still a number of things up in the air, including the name Blizzard, which actually belongs to the now bankrupt AF2, and could need to be changed.

However, now they have a head coach, who bring IFL experience, and is happy to be in a town with a rich football history.

"Since it is the Mecca of football, it was a pretty easy decision in terms of that," said Richards.  "But the IFL, been around it, won a lot of games coaching this version of football, sent a lot of guys to the NFL and I would like to get there some day, so the more guys I can help get notice, the more games I can win, maybe put another ring on my finger, it can't get no better than that."

The IFL's new league structure and schedule should be released before the end of the year.
