MILWAUKEE (AP) - The Milwaukee Brewers said Thursday the ball club has already sold 1 million tickets for the 2012 season.
The Brewers say it's the earliest date in franchise history that the 1 million mark has been reached. The previous record for selling 1 million tickets was on Jan. 19, 2009 and 2011.
The demand for tickets comes after the Brewers won the National League Central Division last season, but also face the possibility of losing slugger Prince Fielder and the possible suspension of Ryan Braun.
The Brewers have surpassed more than 3 million in attendance for the season in three of the last four years.
