LAKE PLACID, NY - It took 17 seconds for St. Norbert to get on the board against Oswego State. The Green Knights never looked back.
St. Norbert (21-5-5) captured a 4-1 victory to earn the teams second NCAA Division III men's hockey title in five years.
The Green Knight's Cody Keefer knocked home the first goal of the game at :17. The Lakers' David Titanic tied the score at 1-1 at 10:42, but it was all Green Knights after that. St. Norbert freshman goalie David Jacobson saved 29 goals on the game and 55 total in the NCAA Frozen Four. Jacobson was named the Frozen Four's Most Outstanding Player. Keefer, Johan Ryd and Zach McDonald joined Jacobson on the all-tournament team.
