Ritchie, Eichler tabbed All-Horizon League

GREEN BAY - Green Bay's two newest 1,000-point scorers have been named all-conference selections.

Phoenix guard Adrian Ritchie was named first-team All-Horizon League Monday.  Her teammate, forward Sarah Eichler, was named to the second team.  Both players were named to the all-defense team.

Ritchie averaged 13.6 points and five rebounds per game in 2012-13, while shooting 44.7% from the floor.  She became the 30th player in Phoenix women's history to score 1,000 points in her career on November 30th, 2012.  Ritchie was also named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the week of March 11th.

Eichler shot a team-best 39.3% from beyond the three-point line in 2012-13.  She eclipsed the 1,000-point mark on February 14th, 2013 against Cleveland State.

Ritchie was named a second-team selection last season, while Eichler was added to the all-newcomer team in 2009-10.

Green Bay opens Horizon League Tournament play on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Kress Events Center.  It will play the winner of Monday's game between Illinois-Chicago and Valparaiso.
