DE PERE - The St. Norbert basketball teams swept Cornell on Saturday at the Schuldes Center.
The women defeated the 19th ranked Rams 47-44 in the opener. Krista Hawkinson led the Green Knights with 18 points. Tasha Giese added 14 points.
The win moves St. Norbert within a game of the conference lead, which is currently held by Cornell.
The men defeated Cornell 80-63 in the nightcap. Brandon Gries led the way with 22 points. Paul Appleton added 14 points while Austin Elliot contributed 10 points.
The St. Norbert victory coupled with a loss by Grinnell puts the Green Knights in sole possession of first place in the Midwest Conference.
