DE PERE - The St. Norbert men's basketball team defeated 6th ranked UW-Whitewater 66-55 on Sunday to claim the Nicolet National Bank holiday tournament title.

The Green Knights led the Warhawks 22-21. They then outscored UW-Whitewater 34-24 in the second half to claim their first tourney title since 2008.

Brandon Gries led St. Norbert with 17. Andrew Schwoerer added 15 while Izaiah Anderson and Garrett Thorn each chipped in 10.

Marian defeated Northwestern of Minnesota 71-69 in the consolation game.
