KAUKAUNA - Kaukauna will be looking for a new head coach for its football program, following the resignation of coach Chris Sievert.
“The Galloping Ghosts are now seeking to fill the opening that we have for the position of head football coach,” stated Corey Baumgartner, who is the associate principal of co-curricular activities at Kaukauna. “As we focus on the future of the program, we will continue to work toward putting Kaukauna High School in position to become one of the best in the Valley Football Association’s North Division.”
The Ghosts were 1-8 this past season, 0-7 in the Valley Football Association. In four seasons under Sievert, Kaukauna was 9-27 with a 5-4 season in 2011.
“The Kaukauna Area School District would like to sincerely thank coach Sievert for the time, commitment, and passion that he bestowed upon our program over the course of the past four years,” stated Baumgartner. “He gave everything he had to our student-athletes and strived to provide a foundation from which to build a successful program.”
