GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Gamblers have traded starting goalie Mike Rotolo to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.
Despite a 12-game home winning streak, Green Bay dealt Rotolo and a sixth-round pick in the USHL Entry Draft for a third-round pick. The team announced the deal Monday afternoon.
“Mike played a significant role in our success this season and last season during our championship run,” said Gamblers head coach and general manager Derek Lalonde. “He is a good person and teammate and we wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Rotolo posted a 2.85 goals against average with a .901 save percentage in 25 games for Green Bay. He posted a record of 14-8-1 between the posts.
The Gamblers are on a 12-game winning streak, and will face Rotolo and the RoughRiders on Sunday at the Resch Center. Face-off is scheduled for 3:05 p.m.
