Brewers' Hoffman Pitcher of the Month

Milwaukee Brewers closer Trevor Hoffman has been named the National League Pitcher of the Month for May, the team said Thursday .

Hoffman, who has yet to give up a run this season, went 11-for-11 in save opportunities in May. The flawless month improved the 41-year-old's season totals to 14 saves with an 0.00 ERA for 16 appearances and innings in his first season with the Brewers following 16 with the San Diego Padres.

It’s the second time Hoffman has been named Pitcher of the Month during his career.
