Ashwaubenon - Rob Morgan has had plenty of time to take in the Resch Olympic Pavillion.

"What a great facility this is for Division 3 hockey," said Morgan.

Last August, Morgan signed on as the St. Norbert women's hockey coach. But, he has to wait until next fall for the inaugural season.

"Every day he comes in and says I'm a coach without a program," said St. Norbert Athletic Director Tim Bald.

Right now, Morgan has 21 women from three countries committed to SNC for the 2010-2011 season. Many of those future Green Knights were sold on the program because of the men's team.

"They're very well known throughout the hockey community and that's certainly been helpful, because I've been able to draw on their success," said Morgan.

That success, as well as the winning some of the other St. Norbert programs have done, is a constant reminder of what's expected of Morgan.

"I think it's always there. I think that was one of the things that sold it for him too. I think that's why he wanted to come here because he knows that challenge and that wall is going to be a challenge in itself," said Bald.

"And, now there's a women's hockey section that's blank. So, when I go in the gym and see that I think we've got a lot of work to do, but that's why we do it," said Morgan.

Morgan has until October 29th to get prepared. That's when the puck drops on the Green Knights inaugural season.
