IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (AP) - A ski hill in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is expected to be closed for the season.
WLUC-TV reports the owners of Norway Mountain announced that the facility isn't expected to open this ski season. There's no immediate word on long-term plans. The owners say in a statement on the Norway Mountain website it's time for a new direction after 20 years.
The ski hill about 10 miles east of Iron Mountain drew visitors from Michigan and nearby Wisconsin.
