SUAMICO - There’s a new option for mountain bikers looking for a winter challenge.
The Brown County Reforestation Camp has added a snow bike trail. Bikers can put on their “fat tires” and ride through the five-mile trail.
The trail is open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset. Access the trail near the Pines Shelter off Reforestation Road on the west side of the camp. Park managers say the trail will be groomed regularly throughout the winter. Current conditions can be found on the Brown County Park Management website .
A daily pass for the trail is $5. Bicyclists can buy passes at the trailhead pay station. Annual passes are also available for $20 and can be purchased at the trailhead, by mail or by phone at (920) 448-6242. The annual pass covers winter and regular mountain biking at the camp.
