GREEN BAY - The Packers are celebrating the progress of the expansion of Lambeau Field.
Crews have installed a new scoreboard and are adding 6,700 new seats to the south end zone.
The team hosted a beam signing ceremony Monday morning.
Packers and city officials, along with construction representatives, signed a steel beam which will go above the stadium's main concourse.
This was the first time many of guests were able to see the full project.
“I think for a lot of people it was their first time to see the project from the inside. I think obviously you drive by, you can see some things, but being inside the bowl and looking up, I think people really enjoyed being able to see the project from that vantage point,” said Mark Murphy, Packers President and CEO.
Officials say the $143 million renovation is nearly halfway complete.
