GREEN BAY - The Indianapolis Colts have agreed in principle to sign Packers free agent linebacker Erick Walden.
The Colts website confirmed the move Tuesday.
The terms of Walden's contract with the Colts were not immediately available.
Walden played in 15 regular-season games for the Packers in 2012. He recorded three sacks, 46 tackles and two interceptions in the regular season at outside linebacker.
Walden recorded a sack and eight tackles in the 2012 post-season for the Packers.
The Packers used Walden as a pass rusher opposite Clay Matthews, but he never took hold of the starting job in Green Bay.
Walden was suspended for the first game of the 2012 season for violating the personal conduct policy of the NFL. He pleaded no contest to charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct domestic abuse after an incident with his live-in girlfriend.
