GREEN BAY - Many still expect a newly drafted player to compete at outside linebacker opposite Clay Matthews, but a familiar face will be in the mix as well. The Packers Monday announced they are re-signing linebacker Erik Walden.
Walden played in all 16 regular season games in 2011, 15 starts of them, with a career-high 86 tackles. He also had three sacks.
Walden was also involved in a domestic dispute during the season. You can see more of FOX 11’s coverage of that incident here: http://www.fox11online.com/dpp/news/local/green_bay/erik-walden-reaches-plea-deal
Terms of Waldens deal were not disclosed.
