GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers have signed five tryouts who attended last weekend's rookie orientation:
OT Shea Allard: Allard (6'5", 305 pounds) was a three-year starter at Deleware. He'll add depth to an offensive line that lost center Scott Wells to free agency and Chad Clifton, who was cut.
WR Jarrett Boykin : Boykin (6'2", 218 pounds) finished his college career as Virginia Tech's all-time leader in catches (184) and receiving yards (2,884).
OG Grant Cook: Cook (6'4", 318 pounds) started all 13 games for Arkansas last season and blocked for two 1,000-yard rushers and a 3,000-yard passer.
WR Curenski Gilleylen: Gilleylen (5'11", 213 pounds) started just two games during his college career at Nebraska.
CB Otis Merrill: Merrill (5'11", 188 pounds) was second-team all conference at Illinois State. He played three seasons there after one year at Wisconsin.
According to a release from the Packers, the team also waived tackle Chris Campbell.
Draft picks and undrafted free agents who already signed contracts with the team remain on the roster.
