GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers have signed wide receiver Jake Allen from the practice squad and placed wide receiver Brett Swain on injured reserve, the team announced Tuesday.
Allen had been on the Packers’ practice squad since the beginning of the season. He also spent the entire 2008 season on the practice squad. The 6’4”, 196-pound player will wear number 13.
Swain had played in all six games in 2009.
In addition, the Packers also signed wide receivers Biren Early and Patrick Willis to the practice squad and released guard Stanley Daniels from the practice squad.
