MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Milwaukee Brewers selected RHP Eric Arnett with the 26th overall pick in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft.
Arnett, who just finished his junior season with Indiana University, was named the Big Ten co-Pitcher of the Year and a First Team All-Big Ten selection. He tied the school record for wins (12) and strikeouts (109). He finished the season 12-2 with a 2.50 ERA, six complete games and a .212 batting average against. Arnett was also named Second Team All-American by Louisville Slugger and Collegiate Baseball News.
“I feel with the selection of Eric Arnett, we took the best player available,” said Seid. “He is someone that will be a great fit in our organization and will make us a better as a whole.”
