MADISON - The Wisconsin men's basketball team (23-8) received a No. 4 seed in the East Region and will face 13th-seeded Wofford (27-8) in the first round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament on Friday at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla.

UW will be making its 12th consecutive appearance in the Big Dance. The Badgers have never been a No. 4 seed for the NCAA tournament.

It will be the second all-time meeting between the Badgers and Terriers, with the teams' previous matchup coming on Dec. 3, 2007. Wisconsin won that game, 70-43, at the Kohl Center.

Wofford enters the NCAA tournament as the Southern Conference champion after defeating Appalachian State in the SoCon title game last weekend.

The winner of UW's first-round game will meet the winner of the game between No. 5 seed Temple and No. 12 seed Cornell on Sunday, March
