Thanksgiving Day could be a record breaker

Rapid changes are expected in the weather around Wisconsin tomorrow night but the only significant impact will be the temperature drop.

On Thanksgiving Day we may hit a record high, not only for the date, but also for the Thanksgiving holiday. I am forecasting a high of 60 degrees. The record for November 22nd is 59 from 1963, and the record for the Thanksgiving holiday is 61 from 1914 and 1896.

Thanksgiving Day will also feature pretty gusty southwest winds ahead of the cold front. Winds could gust up to 25 mph.

Thanksgiving night a strong cold front moves through and temperatures start to fall. Winds flip to the NW and may gust to 30 mph on Black Friday. The high on Friday afternoon will only reach 35 degrees! That's a 25 degree drop and with the winds it will feel more like 25. The colder weather will stay through the extended forecast.
