It's mid-December, but it will feel more like spring today

We'll see a mix of sun and clouds today with a high near 40°, a mark that is nearly 10° above normal.

Clouds will be on the increase Friday as a cold front pushes through the state but highs will still be near 35°.

Saturday travel in the state could become hazardous as an approaching storm brings in precipitation.  In Northeast Wisconsin initially it appears the precipitation will begin as light rain, and as the storm wears on that day a few snowflakes could mix in.

Eventually, that mix will change to some light snow Saturday night and early Sunday.  Right now it looks like the far north and north central parts of our viewing area could get some moderate snow accumulations from this system but it depends of the track which is still coming together.
