On storm watch: Active weather pattern through the weekend

Light snow will start to fall Friday night, but this system will be weak so we are expecting around 1" especially from Green Bay northward. Snow will end early Saturday morning so travel conditions should be better as the day goes on.

Another winter storm is expected to hit Sunday. This complex storm is actually two storms merging over the Great Lakes. Where and how these storms come together will have a big impact on our weather Sunday.

Some computer models are giving us heavy snow, some have light snow and others have enough warm air around to give us mainly a wet, snowy mix.

Many small details will determine what happens around the area, but my current thinking is that we will see snow showers much of the day on Sunday with some mix for the southern portions of our area.
