A comet arrives in the sky in March

Updated: Friday, 01 Mar 2013, 1:40 PM CST

Comet PanSTARRS will be visible in Wisconsin's skies starting Monday, but you will need an unobstructed view of the horizon!

The comet should be visible to the naked eye, but for a better view you can try binoculars.

To see the fuzzy streak in the sky look West, towards the horizon, just after sunset.  The comet will hang low in the sky for around and hour before it dips below the horizon.

PanSTARRS will be visible through March 24, so we'll have a number of opportunities to see it.
