Big melt will bring down snow totals

Updated: Wednesday, 09 Jan 2013, 11:11 AM CST
Published : Wednesday, 09 Jan 2013, 8:09 AM CST

Snow amounts averaged between 6 to 8 inches in most areas of NE Wisconsin. Lesser amounts were reported along the lakeshore and in the far Northwoods.

Surprisingly the deepest snow if being reported in Fond du Lac and Calumet with 9 to 14" on the ground.

Warm temperatures and rain will wash away most of our snow in NE Wisconsin. Mud will be a more common site than snow by Saturday.

Cold air arrives back in our area Sunday, but no significant snow is expected the next 7 days.
