ASHWAUBENON - Winter Storm Brianna certainly has the attention of those who try to keep everyone safe.
Twenty-four Brown County sheriff's deputies will be on the road, driving squad cars and even snowmobiles.
One of the major concerns is along the Highway 41 project.
In many places, road construction has squeezed traffic to two lanes with no shoulder.
Officers say drivers should allow extra time and slow down because any accident can snarl traffic for hours.
“There's nothing we can do except try to siphon the traffic upstream of it off the ramps. Back the other stuff up. And all the rescue will come in against the traffic direction to unplug the mess,” said Captain Randy Schultz, Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
