A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through tomorrow with snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches in many locations by tonight. Winter Storm Elijah is here.
Be careful on the roads all day as freezing drizzle and light snow is expected this morning changing over to all snow by mid-morning and continuing throughout the afternoon.
Areas from Green Bay and the Fox Cities to the east will pick up the most snow. At this time is looks like 3 to 5 inches by tonight. Areas west will be in the range of 1 to 3 inches
This snow will impact your commute home as snow could be heavy at times, especially in those areas expected to get the most snow. Visiblity will be reduced and snow will make travel hazardous.
The snow will end by 10 pm and we'll see cloudy skies overnight with a low near 17°.
Expect partly sunny skies Friday and a high near 27.
Another storm system we are tracking will push into the area late in the weekend. Right now it is still unclear whether that storm will produce rain or snow or a mix as temperatures hover just above freezing.
Things have changed with Winter Storm Elijah as it has moved into the area and we will keep you updated. Tune to Good Day Wisconsin for details with Pete Petoniak and check back here often.
